Jessica Martens, MSA, CCHM, AEMP/L.Ac

Jessica graduated from Bastyr University in 2006 with a Master of Science in Acupuncture. The MSA program at Bastyr is a TCM focused program, and includes over 170 hours of observation and over 600 hours of hands-on experience in the Bastyr teaching clinic (The Bastyr Center for Natural Health). Jessica also completed 3 internships over the course of two quarters at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, working with chronic fatigue patients and HIV+ patients. 

Since then, Jessica has obtained a Certificate of Chinese Herbal Medicine through Bastyr, which provides an in-depth understanding of Chinese herbs and formulations.

Jessica has also expanded on her knowledge of various acupuncture techniques through continuing education, and integrates a variety of styles into the TCM foundation of her practice, including balance method, Japanese style, and auricular acupuncture.

In addition to her Washington State acupuncture license, Jessica became a Diplomate in Acupuncture through the NCCAOM in 2006, and is a current member of the Washington Acupuncture and Eastern Medicine Association (WAEMA).

At Sound Acupuncture we believe that personal health is a journey,
and like all journeys should be embarked upon with the tools, knowledge, and support that may be needed on the way. The destination is the goal, but the path is different for every person.

Here we can assist you in addressing your health concerns with a variety of methods, including acupuncture and acupressure, electro-acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, tui na (Chinese massage), cupping, gua sha (also known as ‘coining,’ it is helpful in fighting off a cold in the beginning stages), far infra-red light therapy, and dietary and lifestyle advice based on the tenets of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
